Opened in Nov 2015, Guitar Market is owned and operated by Warrick Steel.

Warrick has over 40 years of experience in the Music Industry as a musician, in wholesale and as a retailer (he had a successful shop – Steel Box – in Auckland).

Warrick opened Guitar Market out of frustration and In response to the industry at that time.

This is a labour of love, not an expectation to make money, and is built on 2 fundamentals –

1. Good ‘old fashioned’ SERVICE
2. Honest ADVICE

There is an emphasis on good, used instruments and they have a range of ‘Party Pigs’ – these are guitars that probably had a hard early life but are structurally sound, have been setup and serviced and are priced for learners, or previous players, who want to play but aren’t sure and don’t what to make a large initial investment.

Being physically small, Guitar Market is primarily a specialist guitar, and guitar related, store. However, in an effort to satisfy the needs of the greater community, especially after the closure of Music Express at Robina, there has been a move to carry an increasing range of Accessories for other instruments eg drum sticks, woodwind reeds, valve oil and violin family strings etc.
